The British series The IT Crowd will return to airwaves for a finale special, Entertainment Weekly has shared. The show, from creator Graham Linehan (Father Ted), ended back in 2010 after a four year run on Channel 4 across the pond, but will now return one last time with the cast now free to film the series ender.
‘The IT Crowd’ featured Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids), Richard Ayoade (The Watch, Submarine), Katherine Parkinson (How to Lose Friends & Alienate People) and Matt Berry (Snow White and Huntsman) in the series that followed a quirky group of computer guys and their misadventures. Most of the cast are expected to reprise their roles for the forty-minute special. An American adaptation starring Joel McHale as the lead character was a brief possibility back in 2007, but never made it to the air. Word on when the special will be available to U.S. has yet to be revealed. In the meantime fans can watch the four season catalog online at Netflix.
Shooting for the ‘The IT Crowd’ finale is slated to begin in a few weeks time, as confirmed by series creator, Graham Linehan in a recent interview. Will you be on the look out for IT’s finale? Leave us your comments below.
