i totally noticed that “robin smile”, too. it was great!

i also loved that jane didn’t look inside the box (or so he says). but i’m not sure it because of the reasons he told lisbon. he said it was jj’s private buisness. but he wouldn’t care, i think jane was afraid of what it would be. he saw how ashamed jj was and how terrible it must be what he did. i think jane took it to heart what jj told him about their friendship, that jane doesn’t see him as a friend(that was a touching scene). and maybe jane wants to be his friend but is afraid he won’t be able to if he finds out what jj did. on the other hand jane understands revenge and he did look in the box and just didn’t tell lisbon to protect jj. i hope it’s the first although i think jane comes off very well in both explainations.

i don’t think that i think less of jj now that i found out what he did. i understand it is difficult to like someone how cut out someone’s tongue. (when i found out about what happened to jj’s mother i thought there’s a penis in the box, btw) in a way it’s a more gruesome act than killing someone. but i never really liked jj. i always liked the relationship between him and jane but i don’t have to like him for that. but he really seemed to regret his actions. he looked so sad and pathetic, i can’t really judge him for that. What bothered me about this development was how he talked about the content of the box to jane. He said it is a reminder of what happened and maybe what he had done himself, I’m not sure about the latter. But he definitely said that it reminded him of his mother. wtf? The tongue of the guy how raped his mother and drove her to suicide reminds him of his mother and that’s why he’s keeping it? That’s very dark. Who wants to remember their mother like that?
