BBC Two Debuts Trailer For ‘The Politician’s Husband’ Starring David Tennant

BBC Two has released a trailer (embedded below) for their upcoming three-part drama The Politician’s Husband, starring David Tennant (Doctor Who) and Emily Watson (War Horse). The series focuses on the marital strife that develops between two politicians when the wife’s career takes off.

The concept sounds old-fashioned, but Watson and Tennant crackle in the trailer as we see their carefully crafted public personas collide with their decidedly messy private ones. “I am done waiting in the wings,” says Watson before we cut to a shot of Tennant kicking a trashcan across a public bathroom floor.

The Politician’s Husband premieres Thursday, April 25th at 9PM on BBC Two.
