CBS Renews 18 Primetime Shows

The CBS Network has renewed 18 of its successful primetime shows for the upcoming 2013-2014 television season. Home to several top shows, CBS’s success as one of the most watched networks by adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 is due in part to the network’s hit series that include the no. 1 drama ‘NCIS’, as well as its comedy series ‘The Big Bang Theory’, the freshman drama ‘Elementary’ and ‘60 Minutes’.

The renewal also includes the long running comedy series ‘How I Met Your Mother, ‘2 Broke Girls’ and the hilarious ‘Mike & Molly’. ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, ‘Person of Interest’, the revamped ‘Hawaii Five-0’, ‘The Mentalist’, ‘Blue Bloods’, and the legal drama ‘The Good Wife’ will also be back for another season on CBS.

The network has also given the green light to their reality fare with plans to bring back another cycle of ‘The Amazing Race’, ‘Survivor’ and ‘Undercover Boss’. Additional shows like ‘60 Minutes’ and ‘48 Hours’ is slated for a fall return. The network is currently working with Warner Bros. on the renewal of the sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men’.

Nothing definite yet on CSI:NY? If it wasn’t mentioned then I expect the worst.
Big mistake. Whatever they put up won’t do as well…GOLDEN BOY was somthing I tuned out of after the 1st episode.

Also, no mention of NCIS! Thrilled with the scripted renewals named (especially Person of Interest) but no NCIS or CSI NY or Criminal Minds? come on guys- don’t be an ABC or NBC please!

So happy to see NCIS, Elementary, Person of Interest, NCIS: LA, CSI and Blue Bloods are returning. Am hoping Criminal Minds and CSI NY will return also. In some ways I like Golden Boy, perhaps they will give it a chance for things to gel and fix some problems.
