CBS has announced that their long-running procedural CSI will be back for a 14th season this coming fall TV season.
In addition, series lead Ted Danson has been given a new contract extension and the network has announced that original cast members George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Paul Guilfoyle and Robert David Hall as well as Wallace Langham, Elisabeth Harnois, David Berman and Jon Wellner and Elizabeth Shue will all be back for next season.
CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler had this to share, “CSI is synonymous with CBS, and we are so proud of the series’ creative and commercial legacy and its continued success. The writers and producers have done an amazing job evolving CSI, reinventing the show around an incredible leading man in Ted Danson, the acclaimed Elisabeth Shue and our beloved and talented core of original cast members”.
‘CSI’ wins its timeslot in viewers, averaging 11.9 million viewers and is a global ratings hit as well, earning the International TV Audience Award for the “most watched show in the world” for the third consecutive year, and fifth time in seven years.
The next new episode of ‘CSI’, now in its 13th season, is expected to air on Wednesday, April 3 at 10/9c.
