Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland has joined the cast of Lifetime’s miniseries Bonnie & Clyde, The Hollywood Reporter has shared. Hyland, who plays Haley in the comedy series, has been cast in the role of Blanche Barrow, Clyde’s sister-in-law who is married to Buck (played by Lane Garrison).
The four-part series chronicles the illegal and dangerous escapades of the famous couple who will be played by Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) as Clyde and Holliday Grainger (The Borgias) in the role of Bonnie. Actor William Hurt is also on board in the role of Frank Hamer, the Texas Ranger who helps to track down the bank robbing couple. Actress Holly Hunter will play Emma Parker, the mother of Bonnie.
The Lifetime ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ miniseries is being produced by Neil Meron, Craig Zadan and Sony Pictures Television. Aside from her recent casting as Blanche, Hyland is also set to star in the upcoming production of ‘Call Me Crazy: A Five Film’ as the character Grace. She has previously been seen in the film ‘Struck by Lightening’, ‘Gay Dude’, ‘Geek Charming’, the comedy series ‘Childrens Hospital’, ‘Conception’, ‘Cougars Inc.’, ‘Monster Heroes’, the small screen production of ‘Cubed’ and ‘I Owe My Life to Corbin Bleu’.
