The premiere of Da Vinci’s Demons is just a little over a month away now, and that means Starz is stepping up their efforts to promote the historical fantasy series. The premium channel has released three new trailers, each one of them highlighting the roguish side of young Leonardo Da Vinci, who is “everything you never imagined.”
By which I’m fairly certain they mean an insanely attractive medieval superhero because I don’t know about you, but that’s not the vibe I got from my history book (not that I’m complaining). The first trailer emphasizes Tom Riley’s (Da Vinci) considerable sex appeal as series creator David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy) describes Da Vinci as “a little bit Indiana Jones, a little bit Bruce Wayne,” while the next two put the focus on the character’s diversity. He’s not just a lover; he’s also an intellectual, a fighter, a rebel, an inventor…let’s just say he’s a man who wears many, many hats. Watch all three trailers below.
Da Vinci’s Demons will focus on the original Renaissance Man at the age of 25, as he navigates a world where he is always the smartest guy in the room. In addition to Riley, the series also stars Laura Haddock (Captain America: The First Avenger), Elliot Cowan (Lost in Austen), Lara Pulver (Sherlock) and Blake Ritson (RocknRolla).
