Hunk John Stamos to Have Major Recurring Role on ‘Necessary Roughness’ March 14, 2013 Necessary Roughness, News Actor John Stamos seems to be in high demand lately, what with being cast in the lead role of the potential NBC series ‘I Am Victor’ (which is a part of pilot season this year) as well as his recurring role on ‘The New Normal’ (not to mention his recent turn as moderator at PaleyFest 2013 for the aforementioned comedy), and recently coming off a Broadway run in ‘The Best Man’, now comes word that the former ‘General Hospital’ and ‘Full House’ hunk will have a major recurring role on the USA Network’s drama Necessary Roughness when it returns later this year for its third season. For those who need a refresher, ‘Necessary Roughness’ centers on a tough Long Island divorcee who, in order to make ends meet, gets a job as a therapist for a professional football team. As her career takes off with athletes, musicians, politicians and other celebrities starting to request her tough love therapy, she must also learn to balance her new career with being a single mother. Stamos will appear in all 10 episodes of the upcoming third season as Connor McClane, the founder of V3, a big global sports and entertainment management company. He sees Dr. Dani’s (Thorne) success with TK (Mehcad Brooks) and the New York Hawks, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get her into the V3 family. Among his recent TV credits are appearances on ‘Glee’, ‘ER’, ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ and the Lifetime made-for-TV movie ‘Secrets of Eden’. No official announcement has been made by the USA Network as to when the third season of ‘Necessary Roughness’ will air, but fans should anticipate its return sometime this summer.
