NBC’s Latest ‘Hannibal’ Trailers Reveal The “Price Of Imagination”

We all know Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen); now NBC wants to introduce us to Will (Hugh Dancy), the FBI profiler who finds himself in therapy with the most infamous serial killer of them all without even realizing it.

Will is the focus of the latest Hannibal trailers, which are a gruesome, but almost dreamlike affair– exactly what you would expect from a Hannibal adaptation from creator Bryan Fuller (Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies). The Will we meet appears to be haunted by his work. As Agent Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) puts it, “He can get into the mind of a killer like no one else ever has.” But at what cost? The poor guy certainly looks like his mental state could be improved by embarking on a less bloody profession.

Hannibal takes place before the events of Silence of the Lambs, and will focus on the relationship between Will and Hannibal. The series also stars Caroline Dhavernas (Wonderfalls).

Check out the trailers below. What is your first impression of Will? How long do you think it will take Hannibal to convince Will that’s he’s an “interesting” guy? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Hannibal premieres Thursday, April 4th at 10/9c on NBC.
