Kristen Wiig’s ‘Arrested Development’ Role Revealed

Kristen Wiig’s guest role on the upcoming season of Arrested Development has been confirmed by Vulture. The outlet has also scored details behind Wiig’s character on the highly anticipated show. The ‘Bridesmaids’ star is slated to play the younger version of Lucille Bluth portrayed in the series by actress Jessica Walter.

Actor Seth Rogen (50/50) will also appear in the quirky comedy’s new season that has been resurrected after it aired – what was thought to be its final episode – back in 2006. Late night host Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter (Late Night with Conan), Isla Fisher (Home and Away), singer Liza Minnelli, director Ron Howard, Mae Whitman (Parenthood), Judy Greer (Two and a Half Men), Henry Winkler (Happy Days), Scott Baio (Charles in Charge) and Terry Crews (Everybody Hates Chris) are all slated to make guest appearances in the revived series.

Wiig brings with her a long list of credits that include ‘Saturday Night Live’, ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, ‘Despicable Me’, ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’, ‘Hateship, Loveship’, ‘The Looney Tunes Show’, ‘Revenge for Jolly!’, ‘Paul’, ‘Friends with Kids’, ‘The Simpsons’, ‘Date Night’, ‘The Cleveland Show’ and ‘Bored to Death’.
