‘Veep’ Season 2 Premiere Date Announced

HBO’s Veep starring Emmy Award winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld) received a second season order last year after airing just two episodes of season one. The network has now announced that the political drama will officially debut its sophomore season on the paid cabler this coming April 14th in the 10 p.m. time slot.

Veep’s new season will consists of ten all new episodes. Joining Dreyfus as former Senator Selina Meyer is actor Tony Hale (Arrested Development), who will return in his role as Gary, alongside actors Anna Chlumsky (In The Loop) as Amy, Matt Walsh (Hung) in the role of Mike, Timothy Simons (Days Together) as Jonah and Reid Scott (My Boys) as Dan. The Armando Iannucci created series will also include season two guest stars Gary Cole (Entourage) and Kevin Dunn (Luck).

The show’s return comes after an extremely successful first year run. Making its pilot debut back in April 2012, ‘Veep’ has since been praised for its terrific cast ensemble and great humor.
