Since leaving the role that cemented her as one of the most in-demand actresses on TV in the long-running medical drama ‘House’, actress Lisa Edelstein has landed a guest appearance on the “almost-too-hot-to-handle-but-we-love-it” ABC drama Scandal.
According to a report at TV Line, Edelstein will play a client of Olivia Pope (series lead Kerry Washington) on the Shonda Rhimes drama; but, sadly, no other details are forthcoming on who her character is or what kind of circumstance for which she will be found.
But, it would seem that the final nine episodes of ‘Scandal’ will return – for the most part – to the “case-of-the-week” format heading into the last stretch of the show’s second season – yes, the show is only in its second season even though it has been running at a breakneck speed since its debuted last April.
For those who need a refresher, ‘Scandal’ focuses on Olivia Pope, former White House Communication Director for the President of the United States, who know runs her own crisis management firm in the heart of Washington, D.C. The series also stars Tony Goldwyn, Columbus Short, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry, Joshua Malina and Bellamy Young.
Among Edelstein’s other credits include recent appearances on ‘The Good Wife’ and ‘Elementary’ and providing her voice for ‘American Dad’ as well as the recent Lifetime made-for-TV movie ‘Blue-Eyed Butcher’. She also guest starred in episodes of ‘The West Wing’, ‘Felicity’, ‘Ally McBeal’ and the short-lived ‘Relativity’ (among countless others). She has also appeared in the box office films ‘What Women Want’ and ‘As Good as It Gets’.
The next new episode of ‘Scandal’ will air on ABC this Thursday, February 14 at 10:02/9:02c.
