Christina Applegate Departing ‘Up All Night’ February 11, 2013 News, Up All Night Christina Applegate is departing NBC’s Up All Night, Deadline has shared. Applegate’s exit throws a serious wrench in the mediocre comedy that is currently undergoing some changes. The show is in the middle of changing formats from a single camera to a multi-camera. Applegate’s exit also comes right as the series was attempting to get back on its feet following the leave of both original showrunner Jon Pollack and executive producer/series creator Emily Spivey. It looks as though all of the creative changes has cost the series its lead star as well. “It’s been a great experience working on Up All Night, but the show has taken a different creative direction and I decided it was best for me to move on to other endeavors,” Applegate cited as the reason for her decision to leave. “Working with Lorne Michaels has been a dream come true and I am grateful he brought me into his TV family. I will miss the cast, producers and crew, and wish them the best always.” Now that Applegate has decided to bid farewell it looks as though the show has been left on shaky ground once again. At the moment several sources are citing that the series might come to an end unless a rumored Lisa Kudrow takes over for Applegate. Tell us what you think fans.
