Emma Roberts Joins Fox Pilot ‘Delirium’

Former ‘Unfabulous’ actress and ‘Scream’ star Emma Roberts has been tapped to play the lead role in Fox’s pilot Delirium, Deadline has learned. The script contains sci-fi elements and drama with the plot following Roberts as the character Lena Holoway who falls in love in a world where the emotion is unacceptable and is eradicated with a special procedure.

‘Delirium’ is an adaption of the bestsellers trilogy that was penned by author Lauren Oliver. The pilot comes from Karyn Usher, 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment production. Usher is also on board as executive producer alongside Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Paula Mazur.

Emma Roberts brings with her credits that include ‘We’re The Millers’, ‘Empire State’,‘Palo Alto Stories’, ‘Grand Champion’, ‘Spymate’, ‘Aquamarine’, ‘Nancy Drew’, ‘Hotel for Dogs’ and ‘The Flight Before Christmas’. She has also appeared in ‘Celeste & Jesse Forever’, ‘The Girl with the Tramp Stamp Tattoo’, ‘The Art of Getting By’, ‘It’s Kind of a Funny Story’, ‘Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac’, ‘The Winning Season’ and ‘Lymelife’.
