Next fall when the CBS spin-off series NCIS: Los Angeles returns for its fifth season (like there was any doubt this series wouldn’t be back for another season, right?), veteran actor Miguel Ferrer will be a full-time cast member.
As fans of the show know, Ferrer joined the series as recurring player NCIS Assistant Director Owen Granger, who made waves for the Los Angeles team consisting of G Callen (Chris O’Donnell), Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) and Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) as well as “ring leader” Henriette “Hetty” Lange (Linda Hunt).
Now it looks like, according to Deadline that Granger will be around to wreck havoc for the team full-time. This character will also be crossing over onto the proposed NCIS: Los Angeles spin-off that is under consideration at CBS for next fall.
Ferrer has a long resume of TV and film roles, dating back to the early 1980′s, but he is probably best known for his role in the crime drama ‘Crossing Jordan’ as well as a recurring role on ‘Twin Peaks’ and ‘Desperate Housewives as well as roles in the short-lived dramas ‘The Protector’ and ‘Bionic Woman’. He also appeared in the made-for-TV movie ‘The Stand’ (based on the Stephen King novel) and he appeared in the box office films ‘Robocop’, ‘Point of No Return’ and ‘The Manchurian Candidate’.
The next new episode of ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, now in its fourth season on CBS, is expected to air on Tuesday, February 19 at 9/8c.
