FX has shared the return date of Russell Brand’s comical late night series BrandX. The show is slated to make its debut on the network February 7th. The new cycle will now follow a live format, set to air in one hour segments. Previously ‘BrandX’ ran in only 30 minute installments on the network.
Making a second season return, the Russell Brand late night vehicle showcases the actor in the role of host, entertaining fans as he shows off his witty monologue and celebrity interviews. The series will begin airing at 11:30 PM ET/PT on FX on February 7th following after W. Kamau Bell’s show ‘Totally Biased’. Brand’s comedy slot will then make its move to the 11:00 PM timeslot on February 28.
This season’s upcoming guest stars include comedienne Kathy Griffin, appearing in the February 14th episode as well as actor Dermot Mulroney, making an appearance on the February 28th hour. ‘BrandX’ comes by way of FX Productions, in association with both Branded Films and Dakota Films. The comedy fare is executive produced by Russell Brand, Troy Miller, Nik Linnen and John Noel.
Aside from starring in his own show, Brand has become well known over the years for his work in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’, ‘Get Him to the Greek’, ‘Arthur’, ‘Hop’, ‘Rock of Ages’, ‘Despicable Me’, ‘Bedtime Stories’ and the TV series entitled ‘Mud’.
