Actor Scott Wolf, best known for his role of Bailey Salinger on the critically acclaimed drama ‘Party of Five’, will be joining the cast of the TNT drama Perception in the recurring role of Donnie, who is described as “a charismatic, fast-rising Assistant U.S. Attorney recently transferred back to Chicago” and he just happens to be the soon-to-be ex-husband of FBI agent Kate Moretti (series lead Rachael Leigh Cook).
‘Perception’ debuted last summer on TNT, focusing on Dr. Daniel Pierce (‘Will & Grace’ alum Eric McCormack), a talented but eccentric neuropsychiatrist, who is enlisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to assist in solving some of its most complex cases in Chicago. He works closely with the aforementioned Moretti, a former student who recruited him to work with the FBI.
The fact that Kate is married (and not yet divorced) was only slightly touched on during the show’s debut 10-episode run, so it will prove interesting what kind of affect Donnie’s arrival in Chicago will cause for both her and Dr. Pierce.
Since his days on ‘Party of Five’, Wolf has appeared in episodes of ‘Spin City’, ‘Everwood’, the short-lived dramas ‘The Nine’ and ‘V’ and, most recently, a short recurring role on ‘NCIS’. He also appeared in the box office films ‘Go’, ‘The Evening Star’ and ‘White Squall’.
