‘Beauty And the Beast’ Makes Sendhil Ramamurthy a Series Regular January 25, 2013 Beauty and The Beast, News Last month we reported here that ‘Heroes’ and ‘Covert Affairs’ alum actor Sendhil Ramamurthy landed a recurring role on the new CW drama Beauty And the Beast. Well, now comes the news, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, that Ramamurthy has been promoted to series regular status before his first appearance on the show has even aired. Starting on February 28, ‘Beauty And the Beast’ will feature Ramamurthy as Assistant District Attorney Gabe Lowen, who comes from the “upper echelon of New York society”. He is “strong on justice”, spearheading the “search for the vigilante” and finding his “focus drawn to Catherine” (Kristin Kreuk). Executive producer Kelly Souders had this to share, “we’re incredibly excited to have Sendhil join the show. He brings so many layers to every role he plays, and his addition to ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will send shockwaves through our characters’ lives. Fans better get ready.” ‘Beauty And the Beast’ returned with all new episodes of its debut season last night on The CW with an all-new episode set to air on Thursday, January 31 at 9/8c.
