She first came to TV viewers’ attention as Tess Mercer (sans Luthor) on the long-running WB/CW series ‘Smallville’ and is a series regular on last summer’s top new cable series A&E’s ‘Longmire, but now actress Cassidy Freeman will be adding another fan favorite to her resume.
According to a report at TV Line Freeman will make a guest appearance on the ABC fairytale drama Once Upon a Time, playing a character named Jack. And what is so familiar about that character? Well, Jack will appear in the same episode that features the return of the giant – played by ‘Lost’ alum Jorge Garcia – who guarded the beanstalk in the fairytale world while Emma (series regular Jennifer Morrison) and Snow (series regular Ginnifer Goodwin) were trapped there. Is she the legendary Jack who battled the giants? We shall all see…
There are no specific details about Freeman’s character except the name Jack and the title of the episode – which has been coined as “Tiny”; but fans can anticipate some interesting twists if the clips from that episode, which were aired at the end of this past Sunday’s episode, are anything for which to gauge the expectation level by.
Among Freeman’s other TV credits are appearances on the short-lived NBC drama ‘The Playboy Club’ and episodes of ‘The Vampire Diaries’, ‘CSI: Miami’ and ‘CSI: NY’. She will return to ‘Longmire’ when season two of the A&E cop drama returns this summer.
The next new episode of ‘Once Upon a Time’ (which will feature Freeman), now in its second season on ABC, will air on Sunday, February 10 at 8/7c.
