Hart of Dixie Season 2 Review “Islands in the Stream” – Pip, Pip and Tally-Ho! January 22, 2013 Hart of Dixie, Reviews A surprise visit from George’s parents forced Zoe and Wade and George and Tansy to confront the lingering tension between them in “Islands in the Stream,” this week’s episode of Hart of Dixie. To no one’s surprise, George’s snobby folks weren’t too keen about him living on a boat with a divorced hairstylist; they, or more specifically his mama, want him to be with Zoe, the educated doctor. If only they knew that Tansy’s often way more smart than Dr. Hart. Long story short, Mama Tucker basically trapped Zoe and George on the boat and forced them to admit that they still have feelings for each other, just in time for Wade and Tansy to show up via canoe. But it’s all right because both Zoe and George realized that those feelings aren’t strong enough to make them want to leave their current relationships. George is happy with Tansy and Zoe is happy with Wade, and anything else is just background noise. It doesn’t need attention right away. But…you still can’t escape the fact that Zoe and George are ridiculously compatible. They have the same taste in everything. I’m not saying that means they have to end up together, but the old saying is “opposites attract,” not “opposites get married and live happily ever after.” Speaking of happily ever afters, poor Annabeth thought she’d found hers when a British gentleman strolled into town, but thanks to a little snooping by Lavon, it was quickly revealed that her prince had a rare condition that had turned his thick, Alabama twang into a regal English accent. Understandably, he didn’t want to fix it, and true enough, despite her assurances to the contrary, when he did take the right medicine and went back to normal, she totally lost interest. I get that. Speaking from personal experience (I’m dating an Englishman), there is just no substitute for a guy with that sexy of a voice. But it looks like Lavon might be open to helping Annabeth get over her 24-hour infatuation; it seems as if he might be looking at her with new eyes. That is not going to make Lemon happy at all. Which, come to think of it, might be a fringe benefit for Lavon. She flipped her lid when she thought that Brick’s mystery fling might be Annabeth; there’s just no telling what she might do if her best friend ever seriously took up with the man she still loves. And it wouldn’t matter if Lavon made Annabeth blissfully happy. Lemon can’t even let her own daddy be happy because he’s decided to date someone Lemon doesn’t like. Poor Shelby. I hope Brick’s at least good in bed, ’cause she’s in for the fight of her life. What did you think about the episode? Let me know below!
