TV Line has confirmed that actors Evan Peters (Kick-Ass) and Sarah Paulson (Serenity) will be returning to creator Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story for season 3. Murphy shared the news at a recent press conference where he also revealed that several other actors from season one will be returning to the horror series.
As fans will recall, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson have both appeared in American Horror Story’s first and second seasons. Peters first appeared as the character Tate Langdon in the FX hit before taking on the role of Kit Walker in the sophomore season, Asylum. For season 3 Murphy shared that the actor will “probably go back to playing a sobbing psychopath.”
As for Paulson, she appeared in the role of Billie Jean Howard in a three episode guest arc before being recast as Lana Winters in a twelve episode stint. Her new role will come as a surprised. “I know who [she's] playing,” Murphy stated. Adding, “She does not.”
Actress Jessica Lange (Big Fish) will also join both Peters and Paulson for season 3. The longtime actress is slated to take on a new role in the upcoming season that still remains a mystery with Murphy keeping a lid on the plot details.
