Episode Synopsis: hen Reid discovers that his girlfriend has been kidnapped by her stalker, he and the BAU team band together to find her before it’s too late, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Jan. 16 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Michelle Trachtenberg guest stars as Diane, a genetics research assistant. Show Summary: CRIMINAL MINDS revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country’s most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. The Behavioral Analysis Unit’s most experienced agent is David Rossi, a founding member of the BAU, who is essential in helping the team solve new cases. The BAU team is led by Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, a strong profiler who is able to gain people’s trust and unlock their secrets. Other members include Special Agent Derek Morgan, an expert on obsessional crimes; Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid, a classically misunderstood genius whose social IQ is as low as his intellectual IQ is high; Jennifer “JJ” Jareau, the team’s former unit liaison-turned-profiler who recently married her longtime love; Penelope Garcia, the team’s indispensible computer wizard who helps research the cases with her unique charm; and the team’s newest member, Alex Blake, who rejoins the FBI after a stint as a university teacher and brings her linguistics expertise to the BAU. Each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators’ motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them. Spend whole episode to save. And she dies Naples Are you freaking kidding me???????!!!!!!!!! Skowhegan Such a sad Ending. Was hoping for something positive for Reid. How does he go on from here. Was hoping she was going to be alive. Lisa What a terrible ending! So disappointed! Let Spencer have something good for once. Dallas that ending was just so bad. im so upset right now that they killed her. spenc deserves to be happy. Mawiamgel I’m just hoping that in the next episode it turns out that she has a pulse, and survives…. I just can’t see Reid be hurt like that em Y did they replace Emily with that old lady who does absolutely nothing, adds nothing to the plot..,ugh Stitch i don’t she died, re watch the ending and you’ll see that she lifts the gun to her own head criminalmindsanalysis I don’t think she is dead: 1.) At the last shot (excuse the pun) of the gun, the gun is clearly pointed away from Maeve’s head. It is pointed towards the back of the room. 2.) Maeve’s eyes are closed tightly shut in the next frames of her. Diane’s aren’t. Closed eyes are a natural reaction for someone who just hit her head and is trying to soften the pain. She has all ready had one concussion, and another blow to the head with the bang of the gun could likely make her unconscious; hence her lack of movement. 3.) The blood on the head would be from Diane’s suicide. The blood pattern on her head does not really match that of an entry wound of a bullet. On the entry side, there is little blood. There may be blood, but not as much as she has on her head. 4.) Though the bullet may have excited Diane’s cranium, it is highly unlikely that the bullet from a small handguns would have had enough penetration force to travel through bone, a brain (basically a liquid), and more bone and brain. Especially when you factor in “Hollywood Physics.” 5.) Reid’s and Maeve’s relationship is based around secrecy and Sherlock Holmes. The last thing Maeve said in the episode was a coded message. Does anyone know what? 6.) We are only half way through the season. I could be completely wrong, but I think I have brought up valid points. AWWW I hope your right :D, I really wish she doesn’t die, I want a love line between them so I hope she isn’t dead CarmenEtcetera I really really wish it was so but in the synopsis for the next episode it says: “As Reid deals with a personal loss, the rest of the team head to San Francisco after victims are found in the Mission District.” But I wish she survived, they deserved so much more time together. criminalmindsanalysis For point number four I meant to say “On the entry side, there is usually little blood.” Danni Beard♀ While Reid copes with a loss in his personal life, the rest of the BAU travels to San Francisco to investigate victims discovered in the Mission District. thats the synopsis of the next one so she must be dead HW I think the producers/network is trying to kill this show and make us stop watching. They didnt make us go away when they fired JJ, and then they were forced to bring her back, then they got rid of Emily and that didnt work so now we are going to start getting these crappy endings until we all stop watching? I would like to hope that Maeves eyes pop open at the start of the next show but the synopsis for next week indicates that she probably is dead. This makes me mad enough to keep watching. Michelle Trachtenberg fan I would have liked to have seen both women live. It’s been years since I’ve seen Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy’s sister Dawn).
