Episode Synopsis: Lorne Abony, CEO and Chairman of Mood Media, a leading in-store media specialist that uses a mix of music, visual and scent media to help its clients communicate with consumers, faces his fear of heights when he has to climb a tall ladder to install equipment during his undercover mission. He also gets a lesson in using a soldering iron, on UNDERCOVER BOSS, Friday, Jan. 4 (8:00-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

UNDERCOVER BOSS is a two-time Emmy-nominated reality series that follows high-level corporate executives as they slip anonymously into the rank-and-file of their own companies. Each week, a different executive will leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their corporation.

I like this guy, but he has a skewed sense of priorities, which is a surprise. He gave a guy $40,000 for his daughter’s wedding and honeymoon (which is nice), but he didn’t equal or exceed that for his employees who needed or deserved more. “Wants” never exceed what is earned and needed. I hope he could rectify his shortcomings here.

What an amazing man and company! It is wonderful to see someone who can connect with his frontline team and reconnect with his own heart. So happy to see a company who recognizes equality of all human beings. The generosity he showed to the loving woman, her children and her same-sex partner by providing money and benefits was truely moving.
