Jason Schwartzman To Guest On ‘Parks And Recreation’

Bored to Death’s Jason Schwartzman is coming to Parks And Recreation, TV Guide has shared. The thirty-two year old will guest star as the character Dennis Lerpiss, the owner of Pawnee’s struggling video store.

Schwartzman will appear in the February 21st episode where his alter ego will look to Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) to help save his video dome, getting it designated as a historical landmark. Parks and Recreation is slated to return in its fifth season on January 17th at 8:30 pm est. The ‘Rushmore’ actor joins a guest star line up of Lucy Lawless, Megan Mullally, Christie Brinkley, Vice President Joe Biden and Senators John McCain, Barbara Boxer and Olympia Snowe.

Schwartzman brings with him credits that include ‘The Darjeeling Limited’, the TV series ‘Cracking Up’, ‘Marie Antoinette’, ‘Fight for Your Right Revisited’ and ‘Moonrise Kingdom’. The performer just finished up on his latest project ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ as Richard Sherman. Schwartzman will appear in the film alongside Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks and Colin Farrell. He is also a part of ‘Trolls’ and the movie ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’.
