Actor Robert Patrick Made Series Regular on ‘True Blood’ December 11, 2012 News, True Blood Last season on the vampire-laced drama True Blood, actor Robert Patrick – best known for his work on the second ‘Terminator’ movie and the military drama ‘The Unit’ – guest-starred in three of the last four episodes as Jackson Herveaux, the dad of werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello). Now, according to Deadline, Patrick has been made a series regular in the upcoming sixth season of the fan favorite series. As most TV viewers know, Patrick was cast in this season’s ABC military drama ‘Last Resort’, which received an initial 13-episode order, but about half-way through its debut run, was not given a full-season order; seemingly being terminated without a so-called “official” cancellation coming down from the network. It would seem that Patrick is being released from his contact to ‘Last Resort’ in order to join the cast of ‘True Blood’. Patrick has an extensive resume, including box office films such as ‘Wayne’s World’, ‘Last Action Hero’, ‘Striptease’, ‘Cop Land’, ‘The Faculty’, ‘Spy Kids’, ‘Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle’, ‘Walk the Line’ and ‘Bridge to Terabithia’. He has also appeared in episodes of TV shows like ‘The Sopranos’, ‘The X-Files’, ‘NCIS’, ‘Chuck’, ‘Burn Notice’ and ‘Big Love’. ‘True Blood’ has not been given an official airdate for its upcoming sixth season by its home network, HBO, but viewers can anticipate it for the summer of 2013.
