Show Summary: Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists – wizards in the laboratory, but socially inept outside of it. Enter beautiful, free-spirited neighbor, Penny, who aims to teach them a thing or two about life. While Leonard spends his days looking for love, Sheldon is quite content video-chatting with platonic partner Amy Farrah Fowler, or playing Star Trek 3D Chess with their ever-expanding universe of friends, including fellow scientists Koothrappali and Wolowitz, and Wolowitz’ fiancée, the adorable microbiologist, Bernadette. PO’DINOK Shame on Chuck Lorre, et al, for setting women’s rights back several decades in one fell swoop. Since when is domestic violence funny? To make Sheldon’s character think that he has a right to inflict physical punishment on his girlfriend, and furthermore to imply that she enjoyed it/encouraged it is offensive and yet somehow familiar and typical. Thanks a lot to CBS, too, for airing this patriarchal crap. Shelly i personally found it hysterical, amy was a laugh riot, amy’s character is in love with sheldon and wants him, physically, but she has to take it where she can get it, so to speak, why just can’t it be funny seeing amy fawn over sheldon and wanting some physical attention by it any means necessary, H. Ledger It’s not patriarchal crap, weirdo. She liked it because she’s horny.
