B.J. Novak To Guest Star On ‘The Mindy Project’

The Mindy Project will welcome B.J. Novak in a guest spot, EW has revealed. There was an air of certainty that the project would play host to a number small mini ‘Office’ reunions. Now that time seems to be here with news that B.J. Novak is set to pay Kaling a visit in a two episode guest arc on the Fox series.

Best known for his role as Ryan Howard, Novak will be taking on a new alter ego and adding to his involvement of ‘The Mindy Project’ where he is a consulting producer. His new character, Jamie, is said to be “charming”. Mindy meets the Latin professor and the pair begin to connect over their love of the language.

Novak is slated to show up later this year. The actor has previously been seen in the 2012 comedy movie ‘The Dictator’, ‘Inglorious Basterds’, ‘Knocked Up’ with Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl, and ‘Unaccompanied Minors’.

Novak also voiced the role of Baker in ‘The Smurfs’ movie and has appeared in several ‘Office’ extras such as ‘The Office: The Girl Next Door’, ‘The Office: The 3rd Floor’ and ‘The Office: Subtle Sexuality’. He is currently working on the movie ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ in the role Robert Sherman.
