Joey McIntyre of New Kids on the Block fame will be returning to the small screen once again, EW has learned. The youngest of the Boston boy band from the 80’s will be traveling to the swanky zip code of 90210 to appear in a guest role on the CW series.
McIntyre is slated to play a music manager on the rise who crosses paths with the show’s resident character Dixon (Tristan Wilds). The music star’s appearance is scheduled to air sometime in February after being seen last in 2011’s ‘New Year’s Eve’.
Over the years since making it big with notable songs like ‘Hanging Tough’ and ‘Step by Step’, the 39-year old has strayed from the music realm to appear in the USA series ‘Psych’, the crime drama ‘CSI: NY’, both video shorts ‘Ma Men’ and ‘Ma Men 2’, ‘1½ Knights – In Search of the Ravishing Princess Herzelinde’, 2007’s ‘Christmas at Cadilac Jack’s’ and ‘On Broadway’.
At one time McIntyre played the series resident Colin Flynn in the hit series ‘Boston Public’ before showing up in ‘Johnny Bravo’, ‘All That’, ‘The Fantasticks’ and more. ‘90210’ airs in its regular Monday night timeslot at 8pm on the CW Network.
