Actor Ben Browder to Appear in Debut Season of ‘Arrow’

Actor Ben Browder, best known for his work on both sci-fi favorites ‘Farscape’ and ‘Stargate: SG-1′, will be showing up on the new action series Arrow later this season.

In a report from IGN, Browder will be in episode 11 as Ted Gaynor – yet another character from the DC Comics world. In this version, Gaynor will play the commanding officer to John Diggle (series regular David Ramsey) during Dig’s first tour in Afghanistan. Gaynor now works as a bodyguard for Blackhawk Squad Protection Group in Starling City; and when a series of armored truck robberies strike the city, Gaynor becomes a polarizing figure between Oliver (series star Stephen Amell) and Diggle.

Among Browder’s other TV credits include ‘Party of Five’ and recent episodes of ‘Chuck’ and ‘Doctor Who’. He has also appeared in the made-for-TV movies ‘Secrets’ (based on the Danielle Steel novel) and ‘Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Charlie’s Angels’ as well as the direct-to-video follow-up movies ‘Stargate: Continuum’ and ‘Stargate: The Ark of Truth’.

The next new episode of the debut season of ‘Arrow’ will air on The CW tonight, November 7 at 8/7c.
