666 Park Avenue Season 1 “The Dead Don’t Stay Dead” Review October 15, 2012 666 Park Avenue, Reviews There’s just something about 666 Park Avenue that won’t allow me to stop watching. The show didn’t start out with the horror element that I had hoped for, but now that I’ve gotten used to the “resident of the week” type formula to the episodes, and because I’m beginning to learn more and more about the characters, 666 Park Avenue has me hooked. This week on “The Dead Don’t Stay Dead” we got to learn a little more about Gavin’s back story… and how he doesn’t really seem overly upset about the death of his daughter. Could her letter calling him evil have anything to do with his feelings? Or is there more to this story than meets the eye? I’m thinking that the daughter really didn’t know half of how evil daddy really was, and we’ll get to see exactly what caused her to draw this conclusion later in the series. Jane continues to try to dig through The Drake’s history, and while I understand her motives and curiosity, how many times does the girl have to investigate a dark spooky room alone before she learns? Jane, you especially don’t want to explore the dark room alone while looking for a haunted object. Save that sort of stuff for bright daylight, or at least take a partner with you! Aside from Jane’s stupidity at habit of walking into dark rooms alone, I’m really liking her curiosity and her willingness to investigate her surroundings. Henry is getting closer with Gavin and for some reason confiding in him about his job? I wasn’t 100% clear on why he was suddenly opening up to the guy, but hey – Gavin tells Henry to push harder to move up in his office, and since the city councilman is also in Gavin’s pocket… Henry’s wish comes true. So over all, a strong episode for 666 Park Avenue, and one that I enjoyed quite a bit! What are you thinking of this new series? I want to hear from you! Follow me on Twitter! @popKelture ptjackson Isn’t part of Gavin’s coolness with the daughter because she was a step daughter? Or did I misunderstand? But, I’m like you, I can’t stop watching this show, even though I had planned to….. And, yeah, the woman needs to watch more TV and movies, then she would not bring a mysterious suitcase up to her ROOM and go to sleep…. YIKES!
