‘Teen Wolf’ Hunk Colton Haynes Exiting the Show October 12, 2012 News, Teen Wolf Yes Teen Wolf fans, you read that headline correctly. It looks like resident hunk Colton Haynes, who plays Jackson on the popular MTV thriller ‘Teen Wolf’, is exiting the show. According to E! Online, the actor’s exit is due to “failed contract negotiations”. Haynes also posted the following on his Twitter account: “These past few yrs have been the best of my life. I’m sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thx for the love”. Further rumors speculate that a “lucrative offer” for two more seasons (or, in other words, 48 episodes) was made to Haynes, but that offer was held up for two months by the actor and his team; but a source “close to the actor” states that Haynes was only offered 12 of the upcoming 24 episodes for season three and “it (just) didn’t make sense for him (to appear in only half of the season)”. Now, given the fact that MTV is denying this news, this exit could simply be a ploy to get attention and/or drive the fans into a frenzy. A spokesperson for the network had this to say about the situation: “(There is) absolutely no truth that Colton is being pushed out or that he, or any cast member, is being replaced. We love Colton and look forward to his returning with the entire cast for Season three of Teen Wolf”. For now, though, it would seem that Haynes is no longer a part of the cast of ‘Teen Wolf’, which can be expected to return to MTV for its third season sometime next year.
