Show Summary: RAISING HOPE is the critically acclaimed single-camera comedy from Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia that follows the continuing comic adventures of the Chance family as they raise an adorable toddler named HOPE (guest stars Baylie and Rylie Cregut).
At 23, JIMMY (Lucas Neff) had no direction in life, until he unexpectedly became a single parent. Now his life’s goal is to be the world’s best dad. Jimmy’s parents, VIRGINIA (Martha Plimpton) and BURT (Garret Dillahunt), who had Jimmy at the tender age of 15, don’t mind being back in the baby game. They made mistakes with Jimmy, but now with their granddaughter, they finally have the opportunity to get everything right. The Chances live with Jimmy’s erratic great-grandmother, MAW MAW (Cloris Leachman). Once the rock of the family, Maw Maw’s eccentricities now force everyone to stay on their toes. In her mind, the house is infested with mongooses, she’s cheating on her dead husband and it just might be World War II. Again.
Together with his family, friends, neighbors and coworkers, Jimmy will give Hope the best upbringing he can while facing the toughest job of his life: being a father.
When Jimmy isn’t working for his dad’s lawn-care service, he moonlights at Howdy’s Supermarket, which gives him a good excuse to spend more time with his secret crush-turned- family friend SABRINA (Shannon Woodward), a sardonic checkout clerk with an annoying boyfriend. All this is under the watchful eye of his doll-collecting, fight-clubbing boss BARNEY (Gregg Binkley).
