Great news.
Cinemax has just announced that it is renewing the hit series STRIKE BACK for a third season of ten new episodes scheduled to debut in 2013. The new episodes will be filmed in South Africa and Hungary.
Currently airing on Fridays at 10pm on Cinemax, Strike Back, starring Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton, will conclude its second season on October 12.
So the big question is: Are the boys coming back?
Well due to the potential plot spoilers for the upcoming two episodes, the cast of season three will be announced at a later date so we won’t know if Stonebridge and Scott are coming back yet.
What we can say is that some of the creative team behind the awesome series will return. Among them, Director Michael Bassett (“Silent Hill: Revelation 3D”) and writers Simon Burke (“Persuasion”), James Dormer (“MI-5″) and Richard Zajdlic (“EastEnders”). In addition, the show’s real life confidential consultants, who work in the field of counterterrorism will continue to contribute their expertise to enrich the storylines and to continue to make the series as realistic as possible.
The current season of Strike Back follows section 20, stealth counterterrorism unit Section 20, lead by major Rachel Dalton (Rhona Mitra) as “it tracks nuclear triggers stolen by a powerful businessman with dangerous geopolitical ambitions, while the two lead characters face personal challenges and contend with the pressures of their high-stress work>”
We are elated at the news Strike Back and can’t wait for the new season.
