Veteran Actress Whoopi Goldberg to Haunt ‘666 Park Avenue’ October 2, 2012 666 Park Avenue, News The new ABC supernatural series 666 Park Avenue just got its start on September 30 and already it’s getting a big name guest star in the form of comedian-actress Whoopi Goldberg. According to a report at Entertainment Weekly, the veteran Goldberg will show up in the ninth episode of the debut season, which is currently slated to air in December. She will appear as Maris Elder, a mysterious shut-in and longtime resident of the Drake – the locale for ‘666 Park Avenue’ – who helps Jane (Rachael Taylor) “understand her connection to the building by using a radical method of hypnosis”. Besides her duties as one of the co-hosts of the popular daytime talk show ‘The View’, Goldberg has recently been seen in a recurring role on ‘Glee’, but she is probably best known for her role in the box office films ‘The Color Purple’, ‘Ghost’ and ‘Sister Act’ [among countless others]. But she is no stranger to television either as she has appeared in TV shows like ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’, ‘Strong Medicine’ and ‘The Cleaner’ (to name just a few). The next new episode of ‘666 Park Avenue’ will air this Sunday, October 7 on ABC at 10/9c.
