Actress Tina Majorino has been acting since she was a little girl, but quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her roles in the box office film ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ and the TV series ‘Veronica Mars’. And after her (SPOILER ALERT) recent death on ‘True Blood’, she will be showing up this fall in Grey’s Anatomy.
The details about what character she will be playing are being kept under wraps, though, so fans can only surmise that she could either be a new doctor at Seattle Grace or a patient (no stretch to that summation, really); but one thing is for sure: she is not replacing any of the recently exited or soon to be exiting doctors.
In fact, according to what series creator Shonda Rhimes shared with the folks at TV Guide, “it’s really interesting that everybody seems to think we’ve hired new series regulars. It’s not. We hired some really lovely guest stars who are doing some really lovely guest-star stuff. It boils down to the fact that all our doctors are attendings and one of the things that I want to see our attendings doing is teach, so that’s what we’re seeing”.
Let the guessing begin as to who Majorino will be playing, right?
Among her acting credits are the box office films ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’, ‘Corrina, Corrina’, ‘Andre’ and ‘Waterworld’; the TV shows ‘The Deep End’, ‘Big Love’ and ‘Bones’ as well as the made-for-TV movies ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘True Women’ and ‘Before Women Had Wings’.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ will be back on ABC for its 9th season starting on September 27 at 9/8c.
