Showtime has released the poster art for season two of their hit series Homeland, as well as eight photos from the first two episodes. As you would expect, the photos include some (mild) spoilers, so tread lightly.
The poster features the striking split image of Carrie (Claire Danes) and Brody (Damien Lewis) with Carrie looking out while Brody, cast in dark blue shadows, appears to be watching her. Could that mean that after Carrie spent the first season watching Brody, the tables might be turned going into season two? We still don’t know how much of Carrie’s memory was lost after she underwent electroconvulsive therapy, but the first teaser trailer strongly suggested that her memories will be fragmented at best. This could put her at a disadvantage where Brody is concerned.
However, the pictures make it clear that Carrie will be back in the game, but will that happen before or after she goes brunette? It looks like she and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) will be going on a mission of some sort, but it’s unclear if the change in hair color is an undercover tactic or a reflection of Carrie’s emotional state at the start of the season.
Brody meanwhile looks very much like a man with a plan. As we saw in the Brody teaser trailer, the former marine (and current undercover terrorist) will be pursuing a political future this year. He’s seen in one photo with Vice President William Walden (Jamey Sheridan) and in another seemingly schmoozing it up at a swanky party with his wife Jessica (Morena Baccarin) on his arm.
You can check out all of the photos in the gallery below, and be sure to catch the season two premiere of Homeland Sep. 30 on Showtime.
