Season 3 Of ‘Treme’ Promises Change Is Coming For New Orleans [Video]

It’s been more than a year since the season two finale of HBO’s post-Katrina, New Orleans-based series Treme aired. Some time has passed for the characters as well, when the series returns on Sep. 23, it will pick up in the fall of 2007, some 25 months after the hurricane.

Just as New Orleans is still in a state of flux, so are the characters’ lives.The trailer emphasizes both the joyful aspects of the series by showcasing the rich culture and musical roots of the city, and the trouble that’s on its way in the form of the incoming surge of violence and the opportunistic interlopers who will threaten the city’s recovery this season.
