Suits (USA) “All In” Review – Can Anyone Tame The Beast?

Suits (USA) All In Season 2 Episode 6

In this episode of Suits, called “All In,” Harvey is missing Donna in his own special way and starts taking out his anger and frustration on everyone who gets in front of him.

The first one to bear the brunt of Harvey’s anger is Mike, but he’s also the only one (at least now that Donna’s not back yet) who can tame the beast. Even when Mike is trying to purposely piss Harvey off, you can see how his actions make his mentor feel a little better. It speaks to the relationship that the two of them have that he can do it so well. The second one to bear Harvey’s feelings is the hapless man who tries to take Harvey’s clients company. Sure it took him a while to figure out exactly how to do it, but once Harvey knew what buttons to press, he got exactly what he wanted and I think he needed that win, whether Jessica liked it or not.

While Harvey was dealing with his client’s issues and Mike was handling both the client and Harvey, Jessica and Louis had their own troubles. Turns out Jessica was quite the malicious prankster and managed to prank a judge who is now holding that over her head. In true Jessica form, she doesn’t lose the upper hand for long though. Meanwhile Louis gets to mix two of his favorite things in the world – ballet and law – when he fights to help a struggling ballet company. The case also gives Rachel a chance to play at being Louis’ associate for a little while, where she comes to realize that she just might..gasp!..like him.

Once all is said and done and all the cases have been won, it’s time for the final person to get a dose of Harvey’s anger and unluckily for Louis, that’s him. Recording Harvey’s conversation comes to bite him on the ass and for a minute there I thought Harvey was going to put Louis through that window. I think it’s safe to say that Louis won’t be messing with Harvey again any time soon and now I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen when Harvey comes to claim that favor Louis owes him.

While I loved the anger and intensity from Harvey in this one, I do hope he gets his Donna back soon. I’m not sure how much longer Harvey (or anyone around him for that matter) can take it.

My favorite bits..

“Nice building. How long ago was it condemned?”

Haha! Harvey walking around Mike’s room and making fun of it. I could watch this all night.

“I’m not Bruce Wayne.” – Duh, of course not. Everyone KNOWS that Harvey is Bruce Wayne in this bromance.

I knew that Harvey and Mike were getting tuxed up, but no one mentioned Louis was too! The PH men are looking mighty nice.

Finding out that Louis called to check on Donna, too.

Mike attempting to tie his tie.

“I’m not an alcoholic, I’m a compulsive gambler.”
“And those dots aren’t connected?”

“Please, allow me to be your Nutcracker and join in the battle against the Mouse King.”

Louis telling Harold to zip it. Ha!

Jessica telling Harvey to come home before he got himself into trouble. Yeah, I’m thinking that’s not gonna happen.

Wondering just exactly what it was that Jessica did to this judge.

“I don’t have time to explain where babies come from.”

“Look at that Harvey, he fanned your folders.”

Mike warning Cameron that he should probably avoid changing anything else.

Harvey pitifully calling Mike’s name when he saw the flowers on his desk.

Harold demonstrating ballet. Priceless.

“She might have been naked.”
“Might have?”
“Was.”
“We’re screwed.”

Whoa! Jessica did WHAT to Louis? Haha! And Jessica making Louis think it was Harvey makes it about a gazillion times better.

“That wasn’t his cat.” – Oh Harvey, you sly dog!

Mike telling Harvey that he was trying to piss him off because it focuses him, and Harvey doing it right back to Mike. Ha!

“We are going to pas de duex all over their asses with it.” – Louis’ continued use of ballet terms is cracking me up.

Finding it hilarious that Harvey was upset that the hotdog Mike got him wasn’t dangerous enough. Can’t say I was expecting that.

“I think I saw some cats hanging out behind the truck.”
“Stop trying to make me feel better.”

Mike reassuring the strangers in the park that the “bomb” he referenced was only metaphorical.

Rachel reminding Louis that the Louis she knew wouldn’t hesitate to tear someone who wronged him limb from limb, and turning him back into the animal he needed to be.

Mike spotting the confused look on Rachel’s face when she realized she liked Louis.

Louis’ attempt at an English accent. Oh. My. God.

“You just got Litt up.” This is my new catch phrase. End of story. And yes, I am totally making that into a meme.

Mike finding Louis’ recording from Harvey’s office and realizing that if he told Harvey, Louis would be dead. Oh boy.

Harvey proving to Mike that, even without the ability to count cards, he could still play a mean game of poker.

Harvey going all in on the first hand and then “playing” Tommy like a violin. Holy crap.

“We’re people and sometimes we lose.”
“Sometimes? I don’t know about you, but I feel like that’s all we’ve been doing lately.” – Aw, that made my heart hurt a little.

Louis practicing ballet positions.

Louis backing away from Harvey until he was up against that window. Daaaaamn, I’ve never seen Harvey that pissed.

Season 2 is absolutely fantastic. Although I loved the whole episode, the final scene was my favorite. It’s incredible the stage presence Gabriel has. That scene was so powerful, I thought Harvey was gonna punch the daylight out of Louis.

Second to the last scene……Definitely my favorite!

Tuxedos. Does anything else really need to be said? 8-)

And let me just say, Harvey/Gabriel’s tux? SOOOOO much better live and in person. Best. Day. Ever. ;o)

OMG….. my jealousy meter just pegged. 8-)

BTW, did anyone else notice Harvey giving that guy the middle finger after he won?

        • Anonymous

I just noticed that last night after my 2nd re-watch. That’s what I get for watching the eps while trying to take notes at the same time – I missed it the first time around. Which is also why I’ve taken to re-watching this show at least twice each week, to catch all of that stuff.

That was awesome! USA is really pushing the borders this summer. I did notice that the cursing was a little more natural sounding in this one, though.

          • ptjackson

I agree – it was more natural sounding and they are throwing in subtle pushing the envelope type stuff!

And, no sympathy for having to watch two times….. LOL…..

You should totally check out the webisodes on the official show website– they actually show Louis recording the snippets we heard in this episode and so. much. more. ;)  It’s my fav of the webisodes closely followed by the movie quotes showdown between Mike and Harvey.

As for the episode– that last scene between Harvey and Louis was INTENSE.  The look in his eyes actually made me momentarily believe that he really could kill Louis in a non-figurative sense…

Love Louis and Rachel bonding over ballet, as well as the fact they both tried to check up on Donna.  And oh Harold… him “imitating” ballet– hilarious and oh so wrong.

hahaha! Thanks so much for the suggestion! I did find that webisode with Louis and it was the funniest thing evar! Loved the movie quotes one, too. So awesome.

Love your favorite bits too!  :o)
