The Disney Channel has ordered up another new year of Good Luck Charlie from series creators Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen. The renewal will bring the family comedy into its fourth season. According to the announcement, the upcoming storyline will showcase Toby growing into a toddler while Charlie takes on play dates. Amy will also be busy with some predictable antics and funny story lines as her mommy blogger rockets her to celebrity status. While all of this is going on, Bob will suffer from a mid-life crisis, PJ will fall in love with a new interest, culinary arts, Gabe forms a special friendship with a new girl he meets, and the college bound Teddy and Spencer will re-evaluate their relationship.
Adam Bonnett, the Senior Vice President of Original Programming for Disney Channels, announced the network’s decision to renews the hit show. “The success of ‘Good Luck Charlie’ is a testament to the strong comedic writing of the inventive creative team and characters so artfully brought to life by the talented cast. Every kid wants to be part of the Duncan family, and we look forward to telling more stories that engage and entertain viewers in a fresh and relevant way.”
The show is executive-produced by Baker, Vaupen and Dan Staley with series regulars Bridgit Mendler as Teddy Duncan, Jason Dolley in the role of PJ Duncan, Leigh-Allyn Baker as Amy Duncan, Bradley Steven Perry as Gabe Duncan, Mia Talerico as Charlie Duncan and Eric Allan Kramer as Bob Duncan.
