Actor Patrick Wilson to Guest on Season 2 of ‘Girls’

Actor Patrick Willson, who starred in last fall’s failed medical drama ‘A Gifted Man’, will make a special guest appearance in season two of the HBO comedy Girls.

According to TV Line, Wilson will play Joshua, a fortysomething doctor (ironic, no?) who lives next door to where Hannah (series creator and star Lena Dunham) works and will become a potential love interest for her. As fans of the comedy know, Hanna just came off a season pinning for the enigmatic Adam so it is possible that Joshua could offer a more mature option for the wannabe writer.

Among Wilson’s credits are the box office films ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘The Alamo’, ‘Evening’, ‘Watchmen’, ‘Insidious’, ‘Morning Glory’ and ‘Hard Candy’.

A return date has yet to be set for ‘Girls’ on HBO, but viewers can expect the show to be back for its second season sometime next year.
