Actor Ray Romano to Appear on ‘Parenthood’ June 19, 2012 News, Parenthood Emmy Award-winning actor Ray Romano may be best known for his work on the popular and long-running comedy ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, but he did have a foray in the dramatic world as one of the stars of the critically acclaimed TNT series ‘Men of a Certain Age’. And now he will be seen in a multi-episode arc this fall on Parenthood, playing a photographer and former photo journalist who befriends Sarah (Lauren Graham) and complicates her relationship with Mark (Jason Ritter) starting in the season premiere. For those uninitiated, ‘Parenthood’ (the TV series) was inspired by the box office hit of the same name and chronicles the trials and tribulations of the very large, very colorful and imperfect Braverman family that boasts cast members like Peter Krause, Dax Shepard, Monica Potter, Erika Christensen, Sam Jaeger, Max Burkholder, Joy Bryant, Mae Whitman, Bonnie Bedelia and Craig T. Nelson [among others]. Among Romano’s other credits are the voice of Manny (the wholly mammoth) in the popular animated ‘Ice Age’ movie franchise, a two-episode appearance on former co-star Patricia Heaton’s comedy ‘The Middle’ and in the box office film ‘Welcome to Mooseport’. ‘Parenthood’ will return for its fourth season on NBC on Tuesday, September 11 at 10/9c.
