All Hail The King: ‘Breaking Bad’ Season 5 Poster Revealed

It’s not exactly Joffrey in Westeros, but AMC is trotting out their own king.

With his chief rival defeated, it seems that Walter White has indeed become the tenuous king of an empire. It’s this idea that shines through in the first piece of art promoting the fifth (and final, kind of) season of Breaking Bad.

AMC plans to explore the tenuous status of White’s Heisenberg’s empire during the first half of the final 16 episodes. The season premiere is scheduled for July 15th. The second half are slated to air in the summer of 2013. Fans of the show can catch up by watching the reruns of seasons 1-4 every night, late night on AMC.

Regardless of how it plays out, it appears that we are about to test the old saying “Heavy lies the head that wears the crown.”
