Actress Maggie Grace, who became a household name thanks to her role on a little show called ‘Lost’, will appear in a lengthy arc on the Showtime series Californication.
According to the folks over at TV Line Grace will appear in nine episodes of the upcoming sixth season, playing Faith, an innocent Catholic school girl who has been exposed to the evils of rock and roll.
Further intel on Faith reveals that “as a music groupie, she has been on the road for years, acting as a muse to elite artists and falling head over heels in love with them”. But, despite her fondness for sex, drugs and rock and roll – as well as a friendship that turns into more with Hank (David Duchovny) – Faith is still religious.
The other big part of this casting announcement is that Entertainment Weekly reported last month that ‘Californication’ was considering introducing this new character with the possibility of creating a spin-off centered around her.
‘Californication’ will be back on Showtime sometime next year while the Faith-based (yes, I just made that pun) spin-off is still up in the air at the cabler.
