The new Lifetime series The Client List, which just debuted last month, has been renewed for a 15-episode second season set to premiere next year.
The scripted drama based on the Lifetime movie of the same name, stars Jennifer Love Hewitt (‘Ghost Whisperer’) as Texas housewife Riley Parks who, after being deserted by her husband, takes a job at a seemingly traditional day spa only to learn that sexual favors are being offered there on the side. Conflicted at first, she seizes the opportunity and takes the job, balancing two starkly different lives – one as a single mom in a conservative town struggling to provide for her family – and the other as a masseuse working with a rowdy and unpredictable group of women.
The cast of ‘The Client List’ includes Golden Globe winner Cybill Shepherd (‘Cybill’), Emmy Award-winning actress Loretta Devine (‘Grey’s Anatomy’) and actor Colin Egglesfield (‘Something Borrowed’).
Last week the series was the number one drama on basic cable among adults 18 to 49 years of age and averages 2.8 million viewers weekly. The series has become Lifetime’s most-watched series launch since ‘Drop Dead Diva’ in 2009.
‘The Client List’ will air its next new episode of its debut season this Sunday, May 13 on Lifetime at 10/9c.
