TV Line is reporting that the NBC network has pulled their new comedy Best Friends Forever from there Wednesday night lineup after airing just a total of four episodes. The series that stars Lennon Parham (Childrens Hospital, Accidentally on Purpose) and Jessica St. Clair (She’s Out of My League, Bridesmaids), failed to capture decent ratings with a low 3.9 million viewers before declining to 2.65 million in its latest episode.
Parham, who is also executive producer of the show, has since tweeted the disappointing news of their expected cancellation by the network. “BFF Fans: Wanted to let you know that our show is being taken off the air until the summer. Hoping to post ep 5 & 6 online asap…. Jessica St. Clair and I CANNOT thank you enough for the love and support of our little show. You guys are truly the best.”
No word yet on whether ‘Best Friends Forever’ will be back this summer. The show first debuted April 4th, chronicling two best friends who found themselves back together again, living in their previous Brooklyn apartment, after one of the girls divorce. NBC has since decided to fill the Wednesday night slot that is now empty with repeat episodes of ‘Off Their Rockers’, a comedy from Golden Girls star Betty White.
