Actress Amber Tamblyn, who fans will remember as Martha M. Masters, will be reprising her role on Fox’s House series finale per reports from TV Line. Tamblyn returns after appearing in season seven of the long-running medical drama. TV Line learned of the actress plans to say goodbye with one more appearance while she was walking the red carpet this past Friday night to celebrate House’s eight years on air.
Dishing the details, Tamblyn said that show runner David Shore emailed her an invite for the finale. “So, are you going to come back and do this thing or what”, he asked. The actress said she replied with a “duh”. Aside from the star of ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’, actress Olivia Wilde has also inked a deal to return to ‘House’ for the last episode, as well as the episode prior. The series finale will air on May 21st.
Tamblyn’s credits include ‘The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret’, a guest on the series ‘Portlandia’, ‘Comedy Showcase’, ‘The Unusuals’, ‘Joan of Arcadia’, ‘Without a Trace, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘The Twilight Zone’, ‘Boston Public’, ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and the soap opera ‘General Hospital’.
The seasoned performer has also appeared in several movie rolEs since departing ‘House’. She has shown up in ‘127 Hours’ opposite James Franco (General Hospital), ‘Mainstreet’ as Mary Saunders, and ‘3 Nights in the Desert’, which is currently in production.
