Actor Treat Williams to Skate Onto ‘Leverage’

Best known for his role in the critically-acclaimed drama ‘Everwood’, actor Treat Williams will make a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Leverage.

The folks over at TV Guide broke the news that Williams will play Pete Rising, an ex-hockey player who now owns a professional team. After Rising sacrifices the team’s star player to get ahead, Nate (Tim Hutton) and the Leverage team, which includes Sophie (Gina Bellman), Eliot (Christian Kane), Parker (Beth Riesgraf) and Hardison (Aldis Hodge), step in to protect the hockey team from its ruthless owner. While the episode does not have an official air date as of yet, it will be entitled “The Blue Line Job”.

Besides his work on Everwood, Williams has had a lengthy career, dating back to the original 1979 box office film ‘Hair’ as well as the films ‘The Phantom’, ‘Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous’ and ‘127 Hours’ as well as roles in TV shows like ‘Brothers & Sisters’, the short-lived medical drama ‘Heartland’, the short-lived police drama ‘Against the Wall’ and the made-for-TV movies ‘Beyond the Blackboard’ and ‘Front of the Class’.

‘Leverage’ will be back on TNT for its fifth season sometime later this year.
