Actress Tricia Helfer, best known for her roles on the much-heralded reboot of ‘Battlestar Galactica’, will be turning up on the season finale of the long-running CBS series Criminal Minds; and like many of the roles she has played, she will be the villain.
While there are few details on exactly what character she will be playing, the actress shared with the folks at TV Line during red carpet interviews at this past weekend’s Genesis Awards that she will “definitely (play) a bad character”.
The two-hour season finale is set to air on May 16 and will involve an attack on a federal bank — and subsequently a hostage situation in which one of the BAU members is held captive. Included in the finale will also be a wedding and a storyline that will pave the way for Prentiss (Paget Brewster) to, once again, leave the show.
Helfer has been part of the cast of the new, but little watche, NBC series ‘The Firm’ and also appeared in the last season of ‘Dark Blue’ as well as guest roles on ‘Human Target’, ‘No Ordinary Family’ and ‘Chuck’.
The next new episode of ‘Criminal Minds’ – which is now in its 7th season – is expected to air on CBS on April 4 at 9/8c.
