It looks like I Hate My Teenage Daughter is officially all done according to reports from Deadline. The half hour show is now canceled, with the Fox network looking to air the remaining episodes of the freshman season this coming summer. The network reportedly made the decision to yank the series from there Tuesday night lineup after viewership was inconsistent, and managed to drop in the ratings last week. The show was to be pulled from the line-up after airing one last episode on April 3rd, but Fox has since decided that now is as good a time as any. The news was officially announced by the network this past Wednesday.
The series, that debuted last year in November, chronicled “two life-long friends who realize their children have turned out to be the same type of unlikable bullies that made high school insufferable.”
‘I Hate my Teenage Daughter’, from creators Sherry Bilsing and Ellen Kreamer, starred actress Jamie Pressley (My Name is Earl, I Love You, Man) Katie Finneran (You’ve Got Mail, Night of the Living Dead) and actor Kevin Rahm (Judging Amy, Alfi, Desperate Housewives).
Repeat episodes of the successful comedy series ‘Raising Hope’ will now fill the show’s empty timeslot. Tell us what you think, will you miss the series?
