The world of Grey’s Anatomy was recently turned on its head. Frowny-face Derek! Evanescence fangirl Lexie! Warm and fuzzy Alex kissing a warm and fuzzy Meredith! Dreadlocked pushover Bailey! How can anyone practice medicine in such a state of confusion?
Grey’s isn’t the first show to look at what the world would be like if the players took part in a universal opposite day. Here are five of the craziest and most enjoyable TV reality shifts.

When Cordelia wishes Buffy had never come to Sunnydale, she’s initially happy with the Buffy-free universe she’s created, until she finds out her town is over run with vampires; an infestation that seriously infringes on her social life (and eventually, her actual life). It was nice to see that some things never change, like Giles bookishness and Oz’s willingness to help out. Still, this is not a world Buffy fans would like to stay in (everyone dies!)

At first Lois’ boy-free revery seems perfect, her imaginary daughters are sweet, cooperative, neat, and most importantly get along. Eventually she comes to realize there can be severe disadvantages to having three daughters as well. As her youngest points out, “we’re girls, we know how you think, and we’re not above using it.” At least with her boys she doesn’t have to worry about mental trickery, just general mayhem and destruction. Louder, but overall simpler.

The second in three alternate Buffy universes (we also get to see Buffy the non-slayer in season six), a whole episode is dedicated to Johnathan, that kid who’s just always there. Johnathan cast a little spell to make himself rich, powerful, and universally loved, that has the slightly unfortunate side-effect of creating a hairy, scary monster. You really have to check the small print on labels nowadays.

With a roll of the dice, Jeff creates six different time lines, all with their own faults. Though no one in the study group is really changed in any of the alternate realities, different circumstances are able to change the results completely. Jeff and Annie, get closer or further apart, Brita ends up with Troy or the pizza guy, Pierce lives or dies. Some things are inescapable though; Brita will always feel the need to belt out a classic Police song, Pierce will always find away to bring up his time spent with Eartha Kitt, and Abhed will always take the time to straighten up his action figure, no matter how much fire or bloodshed is happening in front of him.

With Stewie’s handy alternate universe remote control, he’s able to travel with Brian to see the world in multiple states of altered reality, like in a world where dogs are the ones that control there humans. While it’s an interesting concept,to me the highlight of the episode was seeing the Griffins and company get morphed into Disney characters. Stewie looked so cute and Peter so fatherly with a little Disney animation.
